Pursuant to the Bill, a term "a family-type orphanage" is excluded from the list of pre-school education establishments in order to coordinate certain legislative acts on education with other Laws of Ukraine.
Pursuant to the Family Code of Ukraine, the Laws "On Provision of Organization and Legal Prerequisites of Social Protection of Orphans and Children deprived of Parental Care" (Article 1), "On Protection of Childhood" (Article 1), "a family-type orphanage is a separate family voluntarily created by a married couple or a single person who take at least 5 orphans or children deprived of parental care for upbringing and common dwelling". However, the Laws "On Education" (Article 34) and "On Pre-School Education" (Article 12) declare that "a family-type orphanage is a pre-school education establishment".
A relevant Bill (Reg. No. 2118) was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
